General information about Croatia

Cycling vacations and cycling-boat vacations in Croatia: Bicycle tours along the Adriatic Sea with Travelydays cycling holidays.
Enjoy a wonderful cycling holiday in Croatia: The popular vacation destination on the Mediterranean Sea is known for its many islands along the coast. The country borders several Eastern and Southeastern European countries, such as Hungary, Serbia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Montenegro and Slovenia. The three landscape zones, into which Croatia is divided, differ both in topography and in climate. Especially the Adriatic coastal region in the east of the country, characterized by Mediterranean influences, with wild forests, quaint deserted villages and beautiful bays, is unique to discover and experience on Croatian bike tours. The Croatian coastal area of Adriatic Sea with its many beautiful old towns and alleys invites you to take a stroll. The contact with the local population and the country itself can be best established and most intensely experienced when sitting on the saddle of a bicycle.

CYCLING VACATIONS IN CROATIA: DISCOVER THE CROATIAN ADRIATIC SEA DURING A BIKING RIDE

The peninsula of Istria in the north of the Adriatic coastline, with its green oak forests flourishing vineyards and olive groves and the fjord-like bays in some places, is the ideal destination for cycling vacations in Croatia. The magnificent Euphrasius Basilica in Porec, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is also worth a visit during a cycling vacation in Croatia. Traveling in Istria by bicycle means above all visiting charming villages and the culinary delights such as delicious fish dishes and fine wine. The stalactite cave Biserjka in Dobrinj should not be missed during a bicycle tour in Croatia, nor the beautiful view in Stara Baska over the shining Kvarner Bay. From the island of Krk you can easily take a refreshing ferry ride to the island of Cres, where the beautiful old town and fantastic promenade will welcome you. Due to the hilly landscape, some medium-difficult climbs can be overcome well by bicycle. These short efforts are always rewarded with beautiful views from highland villages.
